SODOM ON THE SOUND

Arlington, WA - July 1, 2009 - In the wake of the ridiculously liberal Puget Sound media's predictable fawning over the 2009 Seattle Pride Parade, one can quickly draw some accurate conclusions:

Neither the local media folks nor the Seattle politicians represent the core values of Washingtonians outside of the Seattle city limits.

Consider how City of Seattle and King County government authorities (particularly Mayor Greg Nickels and past County Executive Ron Sims) have corrupted the system in recent years by instructing law enforcement personnel to not prosecute violators of public nudity and indecency laws at homosexual events.

The videos and photos of the so called "Pride" parade (***viewer discretion advised***) reveal that the annual event is, in truth, a celebration of moral decay, debauchery, and rebellion against all things good and right.

Particularly appalling were the floats with gay men riding on huge male genital likenesses and the nude or semi-nude participants "celebrating their diversity", some performing real or simulated sex acts in front of hundreds of young people and children in attendance.

Christian people need to maintain hearts full of compassion for all lost souls, that is for sure. However, we cannot continue to permit homosexual activists and radical liberal politicians to run roughshod through our institutions, redefining our laws to conform them to a debauched lifestyle that defies the laws of nature and the laws of God.

Referendum 71 gives us an opportunity to turn back the latest legislative assault on the institution of marriage by left-wing change agents and the homosexual lobby.

Mission

The mission of the new PAC is to organize the effort to gather the 120,577 required signatures for Referendum 71 by July 25, 2009 to bring the controversial Senate Bill 5688 before the voters of Washington State in November. SB 5688 is a 110 page document which includes the phrase "marriage shall apply equally to state registered domestic partnerships" 180 times.

SB 5688 was packaged and presented to the legislature as a Domestic Partnerships expansion of benefits. In truth, it will demolish the state's historical understanding and definition of marriage as that of uniting a man and a woman for life as Washington State will immediately become subject to litigation by same-sex partners demanding that the courts overturn the Defense of Marriage Act and impose "same-sex marriage" (as happened recently in California prior to Proposition 8).
