Rally to Reject R-71 this Saturday!

October 8, 2009 - I received an e-mail invitation (see below) from one of our good friends in the Russian/Slavic community who is organizing a "REJECT R-71 Sidewalk Rally" for this weekend.  They have asked us to join with them and "stand together for marriage in Lynnwood on Saturday!"

We are praying for a great turnout with possibly many hundreds joining together to defend the institution of marriage as that between a man and a woman!

PLEASE COME AND WAVE YOUR REJECT R-71 SIGNS (If you don't have one, we will bring you one on Saturday). REJECT R-71 Yard Sign

We are not backing down on this issue and we will prevail on election day (Nov.3) IF we will humble ourselves and pray and take action for our state and nation!  PLEASE JOIN US AS WE STAND TOGETHER ON SATURDAY IN LYNNWOOD!

INVITATION TO REJECT R-71 "SIDEWALK RALLY" IN LYNNWOOD

The city of Lynnwood will allow us to carry out a rally on the city sidewalks, provided we do not interfere with pedestrian and vehicular traffic and stay only on the sidewalks.

DATE:SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2009

TIME: 11:00AM (rally will go for several hours)

PLACE: Please be at the Lynnwood Transit Center at 11:00AM!

Additional info: We will park at "Lynnwood Transit Center" and walk north on 44th ave towards 196th st.  We will take our time and walk slow and in single file as to not cause a traffic disturbance.

Our goal is to have people with "REJECT" signs covering both sides of 196th st from the Lynnwood convention center to past the Fred Meyer and have parts of 44th st covered as well.  This will go on for a few hours.
People should be standing at a few feet away from each other.

Signs will be provided... but if you can, please make some of your own.  Only include "Ref71 REJECT" and "Preserve Marriage" "Protect Children."

Please avoid negative comments. Act civil. And have fun.
All ages and groups are invited.  Even children with proper adult supervision.

See you in Lynnwood. Our future depends on it.

Mission

The mission of the new PAC is to organize the effort to gather the 120,577 required signatures for Referendum 71 by July 25, 2009 to bring the controversial Senate Bill 5688 before the voters of Washington State in November. SB 5688 is a 110 page document which includes the phrase "marriage shall apply equally to state registered domestic partnerships" 180 times.

SB 5688 was packaged and presented to the legislature as a Domestic Partnerships expansion of benefits. In truth, it will demolish the state's historical understanding and definition of marriage as that of uniting a man and a woman for life as Washington State will immediately become subject to litigation by same-sex partners demanding that the courts overturn the Defense of Marriage Act and impose "same-sex marriage" (as happened recently in California prior to Proposition 8).
