WE CAN WIN ON NOV. 3!

October 13, 2009 - We are just three short weeks away from Election Day (Nov. 3)! On Friday of this week, ballots will be mailed out statewide.  That means that many Washingtonians will be voting up or down on the future of Marriage this weekend!

While our corporate sponsored opponents have already raised more than $780,000, our campaign team at Protect Marriage Washington has run a  very high profile statewide grassroots campaign for just over $60,000! And while we are being outspent at a rate of 13 - 1, we are not only in the hunt, we are poised to defeat the homosexual lobby's deceitful effort to legalize same-sex marriage in Washington!

All reputable polls are showing that the vote on R-71 will be very, very close! We have, in recent years, witnessed governor races and even presidential elections come down to a few hundred votes.  How sad it would be if we lost a tight race like this one because we couldn't afford to get the word out in the last couple of weeks!
DONATE NOW
Our volunteers have currently distributed many thousands of REJECT R-71 signs and bumper stickers and more than 200,000 copies of our campaign literature!  The distribution effort has been done door to door, church to church and person to person.  Additionally, we have produced several powerful video ads that we need to air statewide, but cannot as of yet due to lack of funds!  Please help us get the word out in these final 21 days!

Just today we are getting another major shipment of signs and literature for this weekend's distribution efforts.  Last weekend, 14,000 REJECT R-71 campaign flyers were distributed in church bulletins in the Yakima Valley alone!

Many of you have given of your time and your treasure already.  But I'm going to have to ask you again to dig down deep and give as generously as you can!

Ours is a David vs. Goliath struggle, and like David, we can defeat our formidable opponents by standing strong for truth, in defense of our families and out faith.

PLEASE GIVE TO THE CAMPAIGN AS GENEROUSLY AS YOU CAN!

Mission

The mission of the new PAC is to organize the effort to gather the 120,577 required signatures for Referendum 71 by July 25, 2009 to bring the controversial Senate Bill 5688 before the voters of Washington State in November. SB 5688 is a 110 page document which includes the phrase "marriage shall apply equally to state registered domestic partnerships" 180 times.

SB 5688 was packaged and presented to the legislature as a Domestic Partnerships expansion of benefits. In truth, it will demolish the state's historical understanding and definition of marriage as that of uniting a man and a woman for life as Washington State will immediately become subject to litigation by same-sex partners demanding that the courts overturn the Defense of Marriage Act and impose "same-sex marriage" (as happened recently in California prior to Proposition 8).
